Who we are
GASTECH, trading as Leeds Plumbers, operates the website leedsplumbers.uk and provides plumbing, gas heating and drainage services in Leeds and the surrounding areas. Registered address and Gas Safe registration number are shown in the company details below and must be confirmed before publication.
Quotations and estimates
Written quotations are valid for 30 days from issue and are based on the information available at the time. Where hidden defects, asbestos, non-compliant existing installations or restricted access are discovered, we will stop, explain the position and agree any variation with you in writing before continuing.
Bookings, access and cancellations
We will confirm an appointment date and arrival window. Please ensure safe access to the property and the relevant appliances. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, or where we cannot gain access at the agreed time, may be charged at our standard call-out rate.
Payment
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. We accept card, bank transfer and cash. Larger installations may be subject to staged payments as set out in the quotation. We reserve the right to charge statutory interest on overdue accounts.
Guarantees and warranties
Our workmanship is guaranteed for the period stated on your invoice. Parts and appliances carry the manufacturer warranty, which may require annual servicing to remain valid. Guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, third-party interference, frost damage, or faults arising from existing installations we did not supply.
Gas safety and statutory compliance
All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers and notified where required. Where we identify an immediately dangerous or at-risk appliance we are obliged to make it safe, which may include disconnecting it. Landlord gas safety records are issued in line with current regulations.
Emergency call-outs
Emergency and out-of-hours attendance is confirmed to you by telephone before we attend. Emergency attendance covers making the situation safe; permanent repairs may require a follow-up visit and a separate quotation.
Liability
We maintain public liability insurance. We are not liable for pre-existing defects, consequential loss, or damage arising from installations or systems that were already non-compliant. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Complaints
If something is not right, tell us — in writing to info@leedsplumbers.uk — and we will respond within five working days and put it right where the fault is ours. If we cannot resolve it between us, the matter may be referred to our trade body or the relevant dispute resolution scheme.
Your data
We use the details you give us only to quote, carry out and invoice your work, and to keep the safety records the law requires. We do not sell or pass your details to third parties for marketing. A full privacy notice should be published alongside these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
